ALTOONA, Pa. - Three-set singles wins by
Andrew Wilson and
Joel Ramos helped Lebanon Valley come from behind to beat undefeated Penn State Altoona, 5-4, in men's tennis play on Monday.
The Dutchmen (6-5) were behind 2-1 after doubles, but picked up four singles victories to deal the Lions (3-1) their first loss.
Wilson and Ramos highlighted the singles matches, with Wilson beating Jarred Sutton 7-6, 2-6, 6-1 at No. 4 and Ramos defeating Ben Heidorn 6-1, 4-6, 6-2 at No. 2. LVC's other wins came at No. 1 as
Ethan Grodzinski beat Nicolas Navarre 6-2, 6-1, and at No. 3 where
Ryan Weitzel topped Michael Reinhardt 6-2, 6-2.
Tom Neckelmann fought through three sets before falling to Steven Dull at No. 2, 0-6, 6-3, 7-6 (7-4), and Kevin Ly defeated
Kyle Kahl at No. 6 7-6, 6-3.
LVC will host King's Wednesday in its spring home opener.
