ANNVILLE, Pa. - The men's tennis team swept through doubles and won every singles match in straight sets as it blanked Penn State Harrisburg, 9-0, on Wednesday.
The Dutchmen (4-3) were playing their final non-league tune-up before beginning Commonwealth Conference play - and the defense of their CC title - on April 1 against Lycoming.
Ethan Grodzinski made his debut at No. 1 and won easily over Arsene DeConde, 6-0, 6-1, and
Tom Neckelmann topped Evgeny Matigullin, 6-2, 6-3.
Andrew Deckert worked a 7-5, 6-1 win over Victor Yu at No. 3, and
Jon Gingrich was a 6-2, 6-1 winner over Zach Wakefield at No. 4.
Matt Garber defeated Sahil Patel 6-3, 6-2 at No. 5, and
Joel Ramos won his collegiate debut 6-1, 6-3 at No. 6 over Daniel DeLeon.
