ANNVILLE, Pa. - The Lebanon Valley College men's tennis team ended its fall team slate with a 6-3 loss to Ursinus on Saturday.
The Dutchmen trailed 2-1 after doubles, and the Bears won four of six singles matches to take the victory.
In doubles, the No. 1 team of Evan Stutchin and Matt Hope beat LVC's
Ethan Grodzinski and
Tom Neckelmann 8-2, and at No. 2, Brent Stevenson and Sean Kelley defeated
Ryan Weitzel and
Joel Ramos 8-3. LVC picked up a win at No. 3 as
Kyle Kahl and
Andrew Wilson topped Nick Rall and Chris Wyshock 8-5.
In singles, LVC got points at Nos. 3 and 4 as Weitzel beat Dylan Marsh, 6-2, 6-2, and Kahl defeated Kevin Dean 6-4, 2-6, 10-3.
Ursinus's points came as Stutchin beat Grodzinski at No. 1, 6-2, 6-0, and Hope defeated Neckelmann at No. 2, 6-1, 6-2; Stevenson then beat Wilson 6-1, 6-2 at No. 5, and Wyshock was a 6-1, 6-0 winner over Ramos at No. 6.
LVC will take part in the MAC Individual Championships next weekend.
