ANNVILLE, Pa.
- Lebanon Valley College held its 60th Annual All-Sports Banquet Wednesday night at the Mund College Center, awarding year-end accolades and team MVP honors as LVC's 89 senior student-athletes were also honored.

Team of the Year honors went to LVC men's tennis and volleyball, both of which won Commonwealth Conference championships this season.

The individual recipients of major awards were:

Lou Sorrentino Outstanding Male Athlete Award - Brian Cottone (football) and Kyle Enoch (men's basketball)

For the first time, this award was shared between two outstanding student-athletes. Cottone was named the MAC Defensive Player of the Year at linebacker and the team's defensive MVP as he also picked up all-region honors. Enoch was a first-team all-Commonwealth Conference honoree who led his team in scoring and ranked among the conference leaders in almost every statistical category.

Kappa Lambda Nu Outstanding Female Athlete Award - Alex Wolfe (field hockey)

Wolfe earned nearly every accolade a student-athlete could during her career. The 2008 Commonwealth Conference Player of the Year was a two-time All-American who set the LVC career record for assists, scoring 137 career points in just three years with the Dutchmen.

Hon. Judge John A. Walter Outstanding Male Scholar-Athlete Award - Dustin Kerns (men's basketball)

This award, named in honor of the late Judge John Walter, an ardent supporter of LVC athletics, was given to Kerns, who carried a 3.901 GPA while double-majoring in international business and accounting and minoring in Spanish and political science. Kerns was an important leader for the men's basketball team as a captain, and was named the team's defensive MVP.

Hon. Judge John A. Walter Outstanding Female Scholar-Athlete Award - Alex Wolfe (field hockey)

In addition to her athletic accomplishments, Wolfe carried a 3.78 GPA as an English major and earned a prestigious NCAA Post-Graduate Scholarship to attend law school. The MASCAC Scholar-Athlete of the Year, she has also been a four-time NFHCA All-Academic Team member.

Chuck Maston Memorial Award - Chris Bauer (cross country/track & field)

Bauer earned the Chuck Maston Award, given to an outstanding student-athlete who displays the ideals of sportsmanship, determination, and achievement. Bauer served as a team captain for the track & field team this year, and was an outstanding 400-meter hurdler for the team over his career.

Women's Sportsmanship Award - Kristen Uhas (softball)

Uhas, LVC's starting firstbaseman, is a two-time first-team All-Commonwealth and all-region honoree who earned the Sportsmanship Award for her outstanding character on and off the field.

LVC Service Award - Amie Bickert (women's basketball)

Bickert was named the recipient of the LVC Service Award for her leadership in the women's basketball team's work with several charitable causes. Bickert was involved in Relay for Life and PinkZone initiatives to raise money to battle cancer, and she and her teammates were frequent volunteers with local Special Olympics organizations.

The John Zola Award, given to a male student-athlete who plays the game "the right way," went to Cottone, who was a team captain and an intense and passionate on-the-field presence for the Dutchmen. His defensive leadership helped LVC have the best defense in the MAC this season.
