NEWTOWN, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley College women's golf and softball teams were honored on Tuesday, April 7, as the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) office announced in a release that a student-athlete from each program received a weekly award for their efforts during the past week of competition.
Junior
Jillian Fidler garnered recognition for the Lebanon Valley College women's golf team, being named the MAC Golfer of the Week after winning the Elizabethtown Invitational and delivering a strong performance at the Millersville Invitational. Sophomore second baseman and pitcher
Holly Grube was also selected as the MAC Freedom Player of the Week for her contributions to Dutchmen Softball's doubleheader sweeps of Lycoming College and Stevens Institute of Technology.
Fidler won medalist honors for LVC's women's golf team at the Elizabethtown Invitational after winning a playoff with a birdie on the second hole on Thursday, April 2. She followed that up by finishing as the second-best Division III golfer in a field of 53 at the Millersville Invitational on Saturday, April 4. This marks the second MAC Golfer of the Week award of Fidler's career, as the junior was also recognized in the fall on Sept. 16, 2025. She has earned each of Lebanon Valley's two conference weekly honors during the 2025-26 campaign.
Grube slashed .643/.600/1.357 with nine hits and six runs scored in a perfect 4-0 week for Lebanon Valley's softball team. The sophomore also earned two wins in the pitching circle, tallying four strikeouts in two starts. Grube helped lead LVC to the 2-1 win over Stevens on Friday, April 3, recording two hits with a solo home run, while pitching a two-hitter with three strikeouts, without allowing an earned run in seven innings. This is the second time Grube has been honored this season, as she was also listed as the MAC Freedom Player of the Week on Tuesday, March 3. The sophomore has received four conference weekly awards during her career. Additionally, the Flying Dutchmen have collected four honors from the MAC Freedom so far this year.
