NEWTOWN, Pa. – Six Lebanon Valley College student-athletes from five teams were honored by the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) for their performances during the past week of events, as the conference office announced its weekly awards in a release on Tuesday, March 17.
The Lebanon Valley College baseball team swept the weekly honors after sweeping its series against King's College, as sophomore pitcher
Landon Sexton was named the MAC Freedom Pitcher of the Week and sophomore catcher and outfielder
Kody Phillips was selected as the MAC Freedom Player of the Week. Dutchmen Men's Lacrosse was also presented with an award after earning two more wins, as senior goalkeeper
Kellen Markley was chosen as the MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Week.
LVC's women's lacrosse team was recognized as well after picking up a victory over Elizabethtown College, as sophomore defender
Chloe Moser was listed as the MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Week. Sophomore
Zach Schrader was also honored for his efforts for Lebanon Valley's men's tennis team during a week that included a win over Eastern University, earning the MAC Freedom Player of the Week award. Additionally, sophomore
Laken Kelly collected MAC Freedom Player of the Week accolades after playing an integral role in a pair of victories for Dutchmen Women's Tennis.
Sexton struck out a career-high nine batters over six shutout innings for Lebanon Valley's baseball team in a 15-0 win over King's in the second matchup of the doubleheader on Saturday, March 14. The sophomore allowed just two hits and faced only three batters over the minimum in the victory. This marks Sexton's first career MAC Freedom Pitcher of the Week award.
Phillips led Dutchmen Baseball to a conference-opening sweep of King's while batting .750 across the series. The sophomore totaled nine hits, including four doubles, with nine RBIs and seven runs scored. Phillips also delivered the game-winning RBI in LVC's 8-7 comeback win at King's on Sunday, March 15. This is the first MAC Freedom Player of the Week award Phillips has received in his career. LVC's first two conference weekly awards of the year marked the program's first sweep of the honors since pitcher
Blair Shaffer was listed as the Pitcher of the Week, and catcher
Jace Fetterman was named the Player of the Week on April 21, 2025.
Markley made 21 saves while posting a 63.6 save percentage in a 2-0 week for LVC's men's lacrosse team. The senior recorded nine saves in a 12-4 win over Susquehanna University on Wednesday, March 11. The goalkeeper added 12 more saves while helping LVC rally for a 9-8 victory over Immaculata University on Saturday. Markley's first conference weekly award of the season marks the third he has received in his career. This is also the third consecutive week that a member of the Dutchmen has been named the MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Week, as first-year midfielder
Connor Rowe was recognized on Tuesday, March 3 and Tuesday, March 10. Additionally, Lebanon Valley has now been presented with four honors from the conference so far this season.
Moser anchored the defense for Dutchmen Women's Lacrosse in a 16-6 win over Elizabethtown on Saturday. The sophomore recorded 10 draw controls, four ground balls, and three caused turnovers while helping limit the Blue Jays to three goals over the final three quarters. Moser's first conference weekly honor of the season marks the third she has earned during her career. Lebanon Valley has now received two awards from the MAC Freedom during the campaign.
Schrader won both of his No. 1 singles matches for LVC's men's tennis during Saturday's dual matches. The sophomore clinched the team victory over Eastern and later added a three-set singles win against Ursinus College. This marks the second time Schrader has been selected as the MAC Freedom Player of the Week this season, as the sophomore was also recognized on Sept. 30, 2025. So far during the campaign, the Flying Dutchmen have claimed five weekly awards from the conference.
Kelly delivered the match-clinching singles victory in both of Lebanon Valley's women's tennis team's wins over Eastern and Ursinus on Saturday. The sophomore extended her singles winning streak to five matches during the week. This is Kelly's first career conference weekly honor. The award also marks the third consecutive week that a member of the Dutchmen has been chosen as the MAC Freedom Player of the Week. Sophomore
Katie Berra was honored on March 3 and senior Nikki won the award on March 10. Lebanon Valley has been presented with six conference weekly honors thus far during the season.
