ANNVILLE, Pa. - The Lebanon Valley College men's tennis team won its final dual match of the season Tuesday, topping King's College 7-2 at home.
The Dutchmen (12-7), fresh off their Commonwealth Conference championship on Sunday, were playing in their final tune-up before MASCAC Individuals this weekend.
LVC swept the doubles, including a pair of tiebreak 9-8 victories at Nos. 1 and 2 by
Jon Gingrich and
Jared Zeigler at 1 and
Matt Grodzinski and
Andrew Levin at 2.
In singles, the Dutchmen won four of six, including Grodzinski's 6-1, 1-6, 10-4 victory over Jon Hand at No. 1.
Tom Neckelmann won 6-3, 6-0 over Povl Schmidt at No. 3,
Brad Sweigart defeated David Kaluzavich 6-3, 6-4 at No. 4, and Levin picked up the final point at No. 6 with a 6-1, 6-3 win over Macro Stallone.
Blake Bonser defeated Zeigler at No. 2 in a marathon 7-6, 1-6, 10-8 match, and Gingrich also lost in three to Tim Carroll at No. 5, 2-6, 6-4, 10-5.
