READING, Pa. - Lebanon Valley swept Alvernia, 9-0, Wednesday in their final non-conference tune-up before this weekend's Commonwealth Conference championships.

Playing without No. 1 Matt Grodzinski, LVC (9-7) played everyone up a spot and encountered no trouble, winning every singles match in two sets.

Jared Zeigler won 6-3, 6-3 at No. 1 over Ryan Lineaweaver, and Tom Neckelmann defeated David Schaeffer 6-3, 6-2 at No. 2. Brad Sweigart topped Adam Lush 6-2, 6-2 at No. 3, and Jon Gingrich beat Zach Marsar 6-0, 6-1 at No. 4.

At No. 5, Andrew Levin topped Kevin Brandt 6-1, 6-0, and Kyle Kahl beat Andrew Long 6-3, 6-0 at No. 6.

LVC will take on Messiah Saturday in the CC Semifinals at the Hempfield Recreation Center.
