ANNVILLE, Pa. - The LVC men's tennis team eased past Penn State Harrisburg, 7-2, in non-conference action Tuesday.
The Dutchmen (5-5) swept the doubles point and won four of six singles matches.
Matt Grodzinski prevailed at No. 1, winning a tough match over Shawn Newlin, 4-6, 6-4 (10-7).
Tom Neckelman wasn't as lucky a flight lower, falling to Keith Lynn in the third set, 4-6, 6-2 (10-1).
Jared Zeigler and
Brad Sweigart cruised at Nos. 3 and 4, with Zeigler topping Phil Tarkington 6-2, 6-2 and Sweigart besting Mikhail Joseph 6-1, 6-2.
Matt Hotchkiss won at No. 6, 6-0, 6-2.
Jon Gingrich fell at No. 5, 6-4, 7-5, to Alex Herr.
LVC will be back in action Saturday, opening up conference play at Elizabethtown College.
