ANNVILLE, Pa. - The LVC men's tennis team started its fall slate with a win Sunday, edging Susquehanna University, 5-4.

LVC (1-0) worked a 2-1 advantage after doubles and then split singles with the Crusaders.

Matt Grodzinski highlighted singles with a 7-5, 7-6 (7-4) win at No. 1 over Will Mellor, while Brad Sweigart came back from a set down to win at No. 3, 2-6, 6-3, 6-4, over Alec Green. Jon Gingrich picked up the other singles win for LVC at No. 4, 6-1, 6-1 over Matt Quadrini.

Jared Zeigler fell in three to Matt Mitchell at No. 2, 6-4, 2-6, 6-0, and Cory Prescott defeated Andrew Levin 6-2, 6-2, at No. 5. Freshman Kyle Kahl fell to Grant Uber at No. 6, 6-2, 6-2.

LVC will take on Juniata College Friday in a make-up of a rained-out date from last weekend.
