ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley tennis teams had seven student-athletes named Academic All-District® by College Sports Communicators (CSC) in a release by the professional organization this week.
 
The Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Tennis Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes tennis honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA. In order to be eligible, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA, and have competed in 75 percent of dual matches, with a limit of four nominations per gender per school. Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot.
 
The seven Dutchmen who were honored are Erika Badner, Katie Berra, Colin Brusse, Nikki Denbowski, Jake Erb, Laken Kelly, and Zach Schrader.
 
Badner is a sophomore Exercise Science major from Greentown, Pennsylvania. She compiled a 10-6 singles record and 12-4 doubles record during dual matches this season. This is her first career Academic All-District honor.
 
Berra is a sophomore Nursing major from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. She compiled a 12-3 singles record and 13-4 doubles record during dual matches this season. This is her first career Academic All-District honor.
 
Brusse is a junior Actuarial Science major from Shrewsbury, Pennsylvania. He compiled a 10-8 singles record and 2-1 doubles record during dual matches this season. This is his first career Academic All-District honor.
 
Denbowski is a senior Communications Sciences and Disorders major from Reading, Pennsylvania. She compiled a 7-2 singles record and 14-5 doubles record during dual matches this season. This is her first career Academic All-District honor.
 
Erb is a senior Economics major from Mount Joy, Pennsylvania. He compiled a 7-9 singles record and 12-6 doubles record during dual matches this season. This is his first career Academic All-District honor.
 
Kelly is a sophomore Nursing major from York, Pennsylvania. She compiled an 11-4 singles record and 2-1 doubles record during dual matches this season. This is her first career Academic All-District honor.
 
Schrader is a sophomore Exercise Science major from Reading, Pennsylvania. He compiled a 7-13 singles record and 12-7 doubles record during dual matches this season. This is his first career Academic All-District honor.
