MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley College women's tennis team swept Penn State Harrisburg on Wednesday afternoon by a 7-0 score at the Hoverter Tennis Complex in Middletown.
The Dutchmen won all nine matches, starting with all three doubles matches. They then won all six singles matches in straight sets, dropping just 15 games during singles play.
Inside the Box
- Megan Martin and Katie Berra were the first court to finish in doubles play at the top flight with a 6-0 victory.
- Erika Badner and Maira McCartin were next to finish at number two doubles with a 6-1 win.
- Nikki Denbowski and Victoria Latek rounded out doubles play with a 6-4 victory at number three.
- Martin was the first singles court done with a 6-2, 6-0 victory at number two.
- Latek was next to finish on court six with a 6-1, 6-0 win.
- Laken Kelly clinched match point for the second match in a row with a "double bagel" 6-0, 6-0 victory at number five.
- Badner earned a 6-1, 6-3 victory at number one singles to push the lead to 5-0.
- Berra was next to finish at number three with a 6-0, 6-2 victory.
- McCartin wrapped up play at number four with a 6-2, 6-4 win.
