ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley College women's tennis team ended the fall season with a 7-0 victory over Neumann University on Homecoming Saturday at the Shankroff Tennis Courts.
The Dutchmen won all nine matches against the Knights and didn't drop a single game in all six singles matches. They dropped just five games total in doubles play.
Inside the Box
- Marissa Nicholson and Sofia Mason were the first doubles court to finish at number three, earning a 6-1 victory. The win was the first of the season for both players, with Mason playing in her first collegiate match.
- Catherine Stone and Nikki Denbowski clinched the doubles point with a 6-2 victory at the top flight.
- Emily Bryant and Keira Reese won 6-2 at number two doubles in the first match of the year for both players. Reese won her collegiate debut.
- Victoria Latek was the first singles court to finish at number five with her first career "double bagel" 6-0, 6-0 victory.
- Elizabeth Kraychick was the next court to finish at number six as she also earned her first 6-0, 6-0 win.
- Katie Berra clinched the match victory at number two with a 6-0, 6-0 victory.
- Laken Kelly continued her strong start to the year with a 6-0, 6-0 victory at number four.
- Maira McCartin earned her first career "double bagel" at number three with a 6-0, 6-0 win.
- Erika Badner wrapped up the match with a 6-0, 6-0 win at number one.
- The Dutchmen finished the fall with an 18-6 singles record and 10-2 mark in doubles play.
