4/25/2026 7:43:00 PM

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Michael De Falcis won the javelin to highlight the final regular season meet of the year for the Lebanon Valley track and field teams on a cold and rainy Saturday at the Paul Kaiser Classic hosted by Shippensburg University in Shippensburg.

The Dutchmen did not have many student-athletes compete at the meet and scratched a lot of their entries due to the weather.

De Falcis threw a season-best 63.13 meters (207'1") on his third throw in the javelin to win the event. His mark moves him into the top 10 of the Division III rankings depending on results at other meets this weekend. Aonghas Evanick finished third in the discus with a toss of 45.26 meters (148'6") on his second throw and eighth in the hammer with a mark of 46.64 meters (153'0") on his first toss. Caleb Auzenne finished fifth in the 200 meters with a time of 22.37 seconds. Ben Graybeal qualified for the MAC Championships in the 3000-meter steeplechase, running 10:44.77 to finish 10th. Grant Smith finished seventh in the pole vault with a height of 3.80 meters (12'5.5").

Christine Wagner finished sixth in the 5000 meters with a season-best time of 20:18.63. Abbie Reed qualified for the women's 100-meter hurdles final with a time of 15.58 seconds, but did not run in the final. The 4x100 relay team of Gabby Welter, Ava Matter, Caitlyn Kovatch, and Mileyska Calderon finished third in a season-best 49.53 seconds. That time is seventh in program history. Joie Connolly finished fourth in the javelin with a throw of 34.32 meters (112'7") on her fourth attempt. She also had a career-best discus throw of 25.61 meters (84'0") on her first toss.

The Dutchmen head into the Championship portion of the schedule, starting with the Middle Atlantic Conference Championships next weekend at Messiah University. The conference meet will run Thursday through Saturday at the Starry Athletic Complex in Grantham.
