Cross Country
The cross country teams will be in action for the first time since Sept. 6 this weekend at the Lock Haven Invitational. The men's squad stayed third in the regional rankings as the none of the top four teams raced last week. They moved down two spots to a tie for 28th in the national poll. The women's team maintained their regional ranking of sixth though there was some movement around them from conference competitors. Messiah moved up to fourth while Misericordia moved down to seventh after the Falcons won the Aggies Invitational on the conference championship course at Delaware Valley last Saturday.

Field Hockey (4-3)
The field hockey squad played just one game last week, a 1-0 victory at Immaculata. They have two big home games this week against nationally ranked teams starting tonight against 20th-ranked Dickinson College. They will then host 17th-ranked The College of New Jersey on Saturday. After recording another shutout, the Dutchmen moved up one spot to 11th in Division III with a .878 save percentage, moved down a spot to 14th in shutouts per game at 0.50, and moved up two spots in goals against average to 17th at 0.75. Ella Weidenhammer moved up the rankings into the top 20 of goalkeepers in two different categories. She moved up six spots to 10th in save percentage at .878 and moved up three spots in goals against average to 18th at 0.78.

Football (2-1)
LVC is coming off a big 24-21 comeback victory over Eastern and will play its first road game of the year this Saturday. The Dutchmen have a big matchup against conference-power Delaware Valley who is also 2-0 in conference play. Nasheem Cosme returned an interception for a touchdown to give LVC its Division III-leading third defensive touchdown of the year. The offense is one of 35 teams to not throw an interception so far and are 12th in the nation with just one turnover lost. The special teams unit did not block a kick last week and moved down four spots to 10th in blocked punts with one and down seven spots to 14th in blocked kicks with two. Cameron Hirshman is now one of just 17 players in the nation to return a punt for a touchdown. Carter Foust picked off his MAC-leading second pass of the year to move up to 23rd in interceptions per game at 0.67. Dion Bryant is still ranked high in a couple rushing categories after only rushing for 74 yards last week. He is 22nd in total rushing yards at 348, down from 17th last week. He is also 30th in rushing yards per game at 116.0, down from 20th last week.

Men's Soccer (4-1-2)
The Dutchmen went 1-0-1 last week with a huge win at Johns Hopkins. The nation has started to take notice of the team's performances as LVC was receiving votes in this week's United Soccer Coaches National Poll. They continued to be ranked third in the Region IV rankings behind NJAC powers Rowan and Montclair State. Nathan Prex had another strong week with five points on two goals and one assist. He scored the game-winning goal and had an assist in the win over Johns Hopkins. The senior moved up eight spots to 11th in shots per game with 4.57 and is 20th in shots on goal per game with 2.29. Prex is just outside the top 30 in a couple categories. He is 31st in total assists with four, 31st in game-winning goals with two, and 35th in total points with 14. He is still fifth among active Division III student-athletes with 90 career points and tied for sixth with 35 goals.
