The 2025-26 season is a few weeks in, and our fall teams are off to a great start. The Dutchmen have earned a few national and regional rankings by teams and individuals in multiple sports.
Cross Country
The men's team is ranked 26th in the nation with the release of the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Week 1 rankings this week. LVC stayed in the same spot they were ranked in the preseason poll after a good showing at the Dutchmen Invitational, where they packed the top seven runners together. The Dutchmen are ranked third in the Mid-Atlantic Region rankings behind Johns Hopkins University and Carnegie Mellon University.
The women's team had a strong showing at the Dutchmen Invitational to move up one spot in the Regional Rankings to sixth. LVC was picked seventh in the preseason rankings. The Dutchmen are two spots back from Middle Atlantic Conference rival, Misericordia University, who moved up two spots to fourth after winning both of their home meets to begin the year.
Field Hockey (3-3)
The field hockey squad is nationally ranked in a few defensive categories. LVC is 12th with a .878 save percentage, 13th in shutouts per game at 0.50, and 19th in goals against average at 0.75. Ella Weidenhammer is ranked in the top 25 of goalkeepers in two different categories. Her 0.78 goals against average is 21st, while her .878 save percentage is 16th.
Football (1-1)
The football team is off to a strong start and is nationally ranked in a few different statistical categories through the first two weeks. LVC is leading the nation in defensive touchdowns with two, and is one of 25 teams in Division III not to turn over the ball yet. LVC is ranked sixth in blocked punts with one and seventh in blocked kicks with two. Cameron Hirshman is one of just 14 players in the nation to return a punt for a touchdown, while Alex Brown is 24th in the nation with 2.00 pass breakups per game. Dion Bryant is ranked high in a few rushing categories. The senior is 16th with 8.06 yards per carry, 17th with 274 rushing yards, and 20th with 137.0 rushing yards per game.
Men's Soccer (3-1-1)
The men's soccer team was ranked third in Region IV this week in the second United Soccer Coaches rankings of the season. LVC moved into the rankings after a strong start that included a big 2-0 victory over Gettysburg last week when the Bullets were receiving votes in the national poll. LVC's lone defeat of the season is to Muhlenberg, who is ranked fourth in Region V. Nathan Prex is ranked 19th in Division III with 4.40 shots per game and is fifth among all active players with 85 career points and tied for seventh with 33 career goals.
Women's Soccer (5-0-0)
The women's soccer team is off to a fantastic start and is just one of 19 teams to have a perfect 1.000 winning percentage in Division III and one of 13 teams to not allow a goal yet. The Dutchmen are one of nine teams to be undefeated through at least five games without allowing a goal and one of just four teams to play at least five games and win every game with no goals allowed. Goalkeeper Camryn Porter is tied for first in goals against average and save percentage, while she is second in shutouts with five. Jordan Lasky and Abrielle Miller are tied for 13th in the nation with two game-winning goals each.
