NEWTOWN, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley College Men's Lacrosse team received a pair of honors from the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) on Thursday, as the conference office announced in a release that the program had two players listed on the All-MAC Freedom Men's Lacrosse Team. Graduate student attacker Jake Bollinger was named to the First Team while sophomore midfielder Ethan Keenan was chosen to the Second Team.
Bollinger was selected to the All-MAC Freedom First Team for the second time in his career, as he also received the honor last spring. The attacker led Lebanon Valley with 62 points and 44 goals while ranking second on the team with 18 assists and five man-up goals. Bollinger was also tied for fourth on the team with 28 ground balls, and he caused four turnovers. In the MAC Freedom during the regular season, the graduate student ranked fifth in goals, fifth with an average of 2.59 goals per game, fifth in points, eighth with 3.65 points per game, and tied for 10th in assists. Bollinger had multiple memorable moments for the Dutchmen during the year, including when he netted two goals to become the program's all-time leader in goals during a three-point effort in the 10-8 win at Goucher College on March 1. The attacker also recorded career-highs with eight goals and 10 points in the 15-12 victory at Neumann University on April 2. Bollinger followed this by finding the net twice in the program's 15-7 win at King's College on April 5. These performances prompted the graduate student to be named the MAC Freedom Offensive Player of the Week on April 7. Bollinger had at least two goals in six of the seven conference games this year.
Keenan was recognized on the All-MAC Freedom Team for the first time in his career, following a strong sophomore campaign for the Dutchmen. Among members of the Dutchmen, the midfielder ranked first in man-up goals with eight, third in points with 34, third in goals with 27, fourth in assists with seven, and tied for fifth in caused turnovers with six. Additionally, he tallied 16 ground balls during the season. Keenan delivered several big games for the Flying Dutchmen during the campaign, including when he scored a career-high four goals with the game-winner while picking up a career-high five ground balls in the victory at Goucher. The sophomore also tied a career-high four points with three goals and an assist in the 15-9 win at Wilkes University on March 8. Keenan matched a career-high four points in the season finale against Stevens Institute of Technology on April 26 as well, netting a career-high three man-up goals and dishing out an assist. Keenan scored in all seven conference games.
