The Bulldogs (7-8, 4-1 MAC Freedom) scored four goals in the first seven minutes to take the early lead. The Dutchmen (7-8, 2-3 MAC Freedom) were able to cut the lead in half with a pair of goals.
Hayden Carling found
Ethan Keenan over the middle for the first goal before Ralston hit

LVC continued the run into the second quarter as
Sean Poole scored his 10th goal of the season off an assist by Mrose to make it 4-3 with 12:31 on the clock. DeSales answered with a pair of unassisted goals over the next two minutes to increase the lead to three and force the Dutchmen to call a timeout. Neither team was able to score again until Ralston recorded his second assist of the game on a
Rowan Myers goal with 3:30 left in the half. The Bulldogs responded with two goals to take an 8-4 lead into the break.
DSU came out strong in the third quarter and scored a little over a minute in to increase the lead to five. Carling had a shot saved before the Bulldogs scored again to make it 10-4 with 8:54 on the clock. DeSales was able to push the advantage to 11-4 with a goal with 3:31 left before a pair of Dutchmen penalties ended the period. The Bulldogs took advantage of the two-man advantage and scored in the first minute of the fourth. They added another goal a little over a minute later to go up 13-4. The Dutchmen cut the deficit back down to eight with just over 10 to play as Ralston found Keenan over the middle in front of the crease for his second goal of the game.
