NEWTOWN, Pa. – The Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) announced the All-MAC Women's Outdoor Track and Field Teams and special awards following the conclusion of the three-day championship meet on May 3. The Dutchmen had eight All-Conference performances at the meet with five individuals and all three relays being honored.
The Dutchmen had four First Team honorees, three Second Team performances, and one Third Team honoree.
Coyla Bartholomew won the 3000-meter Steeplechase in a school-record time of 11:04.76 to earn First Team honors. The junior earned All-Conference honors in the event for the second consecutive year after finishing second last season. She just missed the MAC Championship record by a second. Overall, Bartholomew has now earned five total outdoor All-MAC honors during her career.
Anna Sawicki won the Heptathlon with a school and MAC Championship record total of 4607 points to earn First Team honors. The first-year had four career-best marks and finished either first or second in six of the seven events. She became LVC's first MAC Champion in the event and the first All-Conference honoree since 2016 when Rebecca Dertinger was a second team finisher.
Kaitlyn Snyder won the Javelin with a career-best throw of 38.09 meters (125'0") on her sixth attempt to earn First Team honors. The junior earned her second All-MAC honor after finishing third last year. Snyder became LVC's first MAC Champion in the event since 2015 when Mariah Smolka won.
The 4x800 relay team of
Sierra Kapcsos,
Abigail Hunt,
Kyrianna Nemitz, and
Autumn Garges won in 9:31.14 to earn First Team honors. It is the second time in the past three years LVC has won the 4x800 at the MAC Championships and third consecutive year of earning a medal after finishing second last year.
Nemitz finished second in the 5000 meters to earn Second Team honors with a time of 18:02.46. She earned her first career All-MAC outdoor honor while giving the Dutchmen a medal winner in the event for the second consecutive year.
The 4x100 relay team of
Darrian Berkheimer,
Ava Matter,
Karina Reilly, and
Mileyska Calderon earned Second Team honors with a season-best time of 48.96 seconds in the final to finish second. The squad ran a time of 49.43 seconds in the preliminaries and gave LVC a medal in the event for the second consecutive year after a third-place finish last season.
The 4x400 relay squad of Berkheimer, Matter, Calderon, and
Abbie Reed also earned Second Team honors with a season-best time of 4:01.35 to finish second. The Dutchmen have now finished second in the event at the past two Outdoor Championships.
Alyssa Betz earned Third Team honors in the Discus with a throw of 38.06 meters (124'10") on her first throw to finish third. The senior earned All-MAC honors for the first time is her career and gave LVC a medal winner in the event for the first time since 2021 when Makenze Spence finished third.
LVC finished second in the team standings with 110.5 points. Widener University won with 171 points. Widener's Tim Wilson was named the Coach of the Year while Gavin Colley was named the Assistant Coach of the Year. Eastern's Hailey Shreffler was selected as the Track Athlete of the Year and the Field Athlete of the Year went to Widener's Kayla Robinson. Brooke Signorella from DeSales was honored as the Rookie of the Year.
