MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley Outdoor Track and Field teams had another strong meet on Saturday as the Dutchmen competed against some Division II and Division III teams at the Millersville Metrics on the campus of Millersville University.
Track Event Highlights
Daniel Murtha won the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.49 seconds in the final after running 15.44 seconds in the preliminaries.
Joshua Leidich was seventh with a time of 16.50 seconds after running a season-best time of 16.07 seconds in the prelims.
Colin Winters finished third in the men's 200 meters with a MAC qualifying time of 22.82 seconds while
Donovan Goundie was fifth in 23.00 seconds.
Darrian Berkheimer was fifth in the women's 200 with a time of 27.17 seconds.
Emily Miller finished eighth in the women's 400 meters with a career-best and MAC qualifying time of 1:03.52. The women's 4x100 meter relay team of Berkheimer,
Ava Matter,
Karina Reilly, and
Mileyska Calderon finished second with an AARTFC Championship qualifying time of 49.92 seconds.
Sierra Kapcsos finished fourth in the women's 800 meters with a MAC qualifying time of 2:24.71.
Kyrianna Nemitz was eighth with a time of 2:27.85 which also qualified her for the MAC Championships.
Sam Rothstein finished eighth in the men's 800 crossing the line in a MAC qualifying 1:58.75.
Alec Di Cesare and
Lukas Walko also ran MAC qualifying times in the 800. Di Cesare finished in 1:59.64 while Walko crossed the line right behind him in 1:59.83.
Autumn Garges won the women's 1500 meters with a MAC qualifying time of 4:53.19.
Elijah McKell was fourth in the men's race with a MAC qualifying time of 4:08.21. Cole Lehamn finished fifth in the men's 3000 steeplechase with a career-best and MAC qualifying time of 10:05.42. Lehman's time is 10th on the program's Top 10 list.
Wyatt Leitzel was sixth in a MAC qualifying 10:09.99 and
Samuel Bower crossed seventh in a MAC qualifying 10:16.43.
Nina Milosevic was eighth in the women's steeplechase with a MAC qualifying time of 13:26.91.
Field Event Highlights
Aonghas Evanick finished third in the men's discus with a career-best and AARTFC qualifying toss of 46.55 meters (152'8") on his second attempt. His mark is second in program history. Evanick also finished fifth in the hammer with a career-best mark of 46.87 meters (153'9") on his second throw. That mark is sixth in the record books.
Alyssa Betz finished fifth in the women's discus with a career-best and AARTFC qualifying throw of 40.07 meters (131'5") on her sixth toss. Her mark is the second best in program history.
Nick Guerieri won the men's javelin with a career-best heave of 61.76 meters (202"7") on his fourth throw. His mark is fourth in the program's record books and is currently 10th in the nation depending on other results this weekend. Guerieri was seventh in the hammer with a mark of 42.82 meters (140'6") on his first attempt. Guerieri also finished eighth in the shot put with a season-best distance of 13.11 meters (43'0.25") on his sixth and final toss.
Michael De Falcis was third in the javelin with a throw of 56.75 meters (186'2") on his fifth attempt while
Ian Paul was sixth at 54.34 meters (178'3") on his fifth throw.
Kaitlyn Snyder finished sixth in the women's javelin with a mark of 35.98 meters (118'0") on her fifth attempt.
Anna Sawicki had a throw of 34.38 meters (112'9") on her second toss which is tied for 10th in the program record books.
Melena Koutch finished second in the women's high jump with a height of 1.50 meters (4'11").
Chloe Grady was seventh in the women's long jump with a mark of 4.80 meters (15'9") on her third jump. She also finished fourth in the triple jump with a season-best mark of 10.41 meters (34'2") on her second try. Her jump is 10th on the program's Top 10 list.
Tola Oyinkolade was sixth with a jump of 10.01 meters (32'10.25") on her second attempt.
Ayden Stankus finished second in the men's pole vault with a height of 4.25 meters (13'11.25").
Grant Smith was sixth at 3.65 meters (11'11.75"). The Dutchmen had three women finish in the top five of the women's pole vault as
Luisanna Polanco was fourth while
Emily Oriel and
Rachel Snavely tied for fifth. Polanco cleared 3.05 meters (10'0") while Oriel and Snavely finished at 2.90 meters (9'6.25").
Up Next
The Dutchmen will compete at the Messiah Multi and Invitational next weekend. The multi will be competed on Thursday and Friday while the Invitational will be on Saturday in Grantham.
