Dutchmen Win 10 Events at York Twilight Meet

YORK, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley Outdoor Track and Field teams won 10 different events on Wednesday as the Dutchmen competed at the York Twilight Meet hosted by York College of Pennsylvania in York. The Dutchmen wins included four relays.
 
Track Highlights
Colin Winters won the men's 100 meters with a career-best time of 10.86 seconds. His time qualifies him for the AARTFC Championships and is fifth in the school record books.  Karina Reilly was second in the women's 100 with a MAC qualifying time of 13.01 seconds. Matt Bruchak ran a season-best time of 22.93 seconds in the men's 200 meters to finish third. Hayden Milchanowski was right behind him in the fourth with a time of 23.29 seconds. Andrew Myers was seventh in 23.54 seconds. Charleigh Seifert finished sixth in the women's 400 meters with a time of 1:04.67.
 
Elijah McKell ran a season-best time of 1:54.63 in the men's 800 meters to finish second. Sierra Kapcsos was fourth in the women's 800 with a time of 2:26.69. Eric Shelton ran a MAC qualifying time of 4:10.46 in the men's 1500 to finish second while Sam Rothstein was fifth in 4:22.04. Abigail Hunt finished fourth in the women's 1500 at a MAC qualifying 5:05.47 while Kaylee Senglar ran 5:18.14 to finish seventh. Liam Allen was seventh in the men's 5000 meters with a MAC qualifying time of 15:51.50. Charlee Kurtz finished fifth in the women's race as she crossed the line in a MAC qualifying 19:24.39.
 
Abbie Reed was second in the 100 hurdles with an AARTFC qualifying time of 15.56 seconds. Her career-best time is fourth in program history. Mikayla Mitchell was sixth in 16.04 seconds while Emma Bunty was seventh with a time of 16.64 seconds. Joshua Leidich ran a season-best time of 15.97 seconds in the 110 hurdles to finish second. Ethan Rush was fifth in 16.94 seconds. Luke Macchione ran a time of 59.36 seconds in the men's 400 hurdles to finish fourth. Bunty was sixth in the women's 400 hurdles with a time of 1:16.74 while Mitchell was eighth in 1:20.32.
 
The Dutchmen won four of the relays sweeping the 4x100 and 4x400. The men's 4x100 team of Donovan Goundie, Liner, Stankus, and Winters ran a season-best time of 42.00 seconds to win. The women's 4x100 team of Darrian Berkheimer, Ava Matter, Reilly, and Mileyska Calderon also won in 50.56 seconds. The women's 4x400 "A" team of Berkheimer, Matter, Reed, and Calderon won in 4:11.99. The men's 4x400 team qualified for the AARTFC Championships as Goundie, Bruchak, Alec Di Cesare, and McKell won in 3:22.94.
 
Field Highlights
Aonghas Evanick won the men's discus with a toss of 44.18 meters (144'11") on his third throw. Alyssa Betz was third in the women's discus with a mark of 33.63 meters (110'4") on her first attempt. Evanick threw a career-best mark of 46.91 meters (153'11") on his third try in the men's hammer throw to finish fourth. Nick Guerieri was fifth with a career-best toss of 46.00 meters (150'11") on his fourth throw. Evanick's mark is sixth in the program record books while Guerieri's throw is eighth. Lauren Assante won the women's hammer with a career-best mark of 43.27 meters (141'11") on her sixth toss. Her toss is fourth on the program Top 10 list.
 
Ian Paul won the men's javelin with a throw of 56.81 meters (186'4") on his first toss. Guerieri was third at 55.09 meters (180'9") on his first attempt while Michael De Falcis finished fourth with a mark of 52.10 meters (170'11") on his fifth try. Kaitlyn Snyder won the women's event with a season-best toss of 37.21 meters (122'1") on her first throw. Joie Connolly was third at 32.98 meters (108'2") on her fifth attempt. Evanick finished fourth in the men's shot put with a season-best throw of 13.59 meters (44'7") on his sixth throw. Anna Sawicki had a season-best mark of 11.25 meters (36'11") to finish fourth in the women's shot put. Her mark is eighth in the program record books. Betz was seventh with a toss of 10.48 meters (34'4.75") on her fifth attempt.
 
Melena Koutch was second in the women's high jump at a season-best 1.55 meters (5'1"). Haley Thunberg was seventh with a height of 1.35 meters (4'5"). Ethan Rush finished eighth in the men's high jump with a height of 1.50 meters (4'11"). He also competed in the 110 hurdles to qualify for the decathlon at the MAC Championships. Grant Smith was fourth in the men's pole vault with a season-best height of 3.85 meters (12'7.5").
 
Ayden Stankus won the long jump with a mark of 6.35 meters (20'10") on his third jump. Alex Brown had a season-best jump of 6.33 meters (20'9.25") on his third attempt to finish fifth. Hailey Myers was third in the women's event with a season-best mark of 4.95 meters (16'3") on her second try. Chloe Grady had a mark of 4.92 meters (16'1.75") on her first attempt to finish fourth while Tola Oyinkolade was fifth at 4.86 meters (15'11.5") on her second jump. Myers was third in the triple jump with a mark of 10.28 meters (33'8.75") on her fifth jump. Oyinkolade finished fourth at a season-best 10.21 meters (33'6") on her third try while Grady had a mark of 10.11 meters (33'2") on her third attempt to finish fifth.

A small group will compete this weekend at Widener's Paul Donahue Invitational on Friday and Saturday in Chester.
