ITHACA, N.Y. – The Lebanon Valley Indoor Track and Field team had two podium finishers on Saturday at the AARTFC Championships at Ithaca College while three runners competed at the Tufts Final Qualifier. LVC had five career-bests on the final day of the season.
Colin Winters scored four points with a fifth-place finish in the 60 meters final with a time of 6.98 seconds.
Donovan Goundie ran a career-best 50.72 seconds in the 400 meters to finish 27th. His time moves him up to third on the program's Top 10 list.
Kyrianna Nemitz had a pair of career best times on the day. She finished 16th in the mile with a time of 5:16.34 and 11th in the 3000 meters with a time of 10:28.92. Her mile time moves her up to seventh in the program record books while her 3000 time is ninth.
The women's 4x200 meter relay team of
Ava Matter,
Darrian Berkheimer,
Karina Reilly, and
Mileyska Calderon finished on the podium with a fourth-place finish to score five points running 1:47.18.
Elijah McKell finished eighth in the 800 meters at the Tufts Final Qualifier with a time of 1:55.90.
Rory Lieberman was third in the 3000 meters at Tufts crossing the line in a career-best and new school record time of 8:22.93. He lowered his previous record of 8:24.98 by two seconds.
Coyla Bartholomew was 13th in the 3000 meters at Tuft with a career-best time of 10:22.69. Her time is fifth in the program record books.
Melena Koutch and
Anna Sawicki tied for 11th in the high jump with both women clearing a height of 1.52 meters (4'11.75") on their first attempts.
Lauren Assante was 20th in the weight throw with a mark of 14.48 meters (47'6.25") on her third throw.
The indoor season is over for the Dutchmen and the outdoor season will begin in a few weeks as LVC will first compete at the Mini Home Meet on Saturday March 22.
