Chukoskie and Bartholomew Break 10k Records at Danny Curran Invitational

CHESTER, Pa. – Joe Chukoskie and Coyla Bartholomew broke the Lebanon Valley Outdoor Track and Field 10,000 meters records as the Dutchmen had a strong weekend at the Danny Curran Invitational hosted by Widener University on Friday and Saturday in Chester.
 
Track Highlights
Chukoskie won the men's 10k on Friday evening with a school record time of 30:25.07. He beat the previous record of 30:34.04 run by Joel Carpenter in 1981. Rory Lieberman was third with a time of 30:36.64. His time is third in the program record books. Bartholomew then finished second in the women's race also running a school record time as she crossed the line in 37:24.84. Her time was 15 second faster than the previous record of 37:39.24 run by Lauren Wick in 2021. Charlee Kurtz ran a time of 40:30.06 which is sixth in the record books. Christine Wagner crossed in 40:52.55 which is eighth. Chukoskie, Lieberman, and Bartholomew qualified for both the MAC and AARTFC Championships in the event while Kurtz and Wagner qualified for MACs.
 
Colin Winters finished seventh in the men's 100 meters with a career-best and MAC qualifying time of 10.96 seconds. His time is seventh on the program's Top 10 list. Ava Matter ran a career-best time of 26.08 seconds in the women's 200 meters which is 10th on the program's Top 10 list. Donovan Goundie ran a career-best 400-meter time of 49.32 seconds is second in program history and qualified him for the MAC Championships. Mikayla Mitchell was seventh in the women's 100-meter hurdles with a career-best and MAC qualifying time of 15.81 seconds. Her time is fourth in the program record books. Abbie Reed was sixth in the women's 400 hurdles with a MAC qualifying time of 1:07.09 while Mitchell was eighth in a MAC qualifying 1:08.66.
 
Autumn Garges finished seventh in the women's 800 meters with a career-best time of 2:17.88. Her time moves her up to fourth in the record books and qualifies her for both the MAC and AARTFC Championships. Lukas Walko, Andrew Namatka, and Eric Shelton all joined the record books and qualified for the MAC Championships in the men's 5000 meters. Walko's time of 14:59.67 is fourth on the Top 10 list and qualified him for the AARTFC Championships. Namatka was also an AARTFC qualifier with a time of 15:03.11, which is sixth in the program record books. Shelton's time of 15:10.85 is ninth on the Top 10 list. Kyrianna Nemitz crossed the line fourth in the women's 5000 meters with a MAC and AARTFC qualifying time of 17:35.42. Her time is second in the record books. Abigail Hunt also qualified for both Championships with a time of 18:19.49, which is eighth on the Top 10 list.
 
Field Highlights
Chloe Grady had a career-best mark of 5.10 meters in the women's long jump. Her jump is ninth in the program record books. Tola Oyinkolade had a jump of 5.06 meters which is 10th on the program's Top 10 list. Ayden Stankus was second in the men's pole vault with a height of 4.70 meters. Luisanna Polanco and Rachel Snavely tied for sixth in the women's pole vault with a clearance of 3.05 meters. Polanco qualified for the MAC Championships with her height. Melena Koutch was fourth in the women's high jump with a mark of 1.55 meters.
 
Ian Paul finished second in the men's javelin with a AARTFC qualifying throw of 61.83 meters. Nick Guerieri was fourth at 57.64 meters while Michael De Falcis finished fifth with an AARTFC qualifying mark of 57.33 meters. Kaitlyn Snyder was second in the women's javelin with a mark of 37.14 meters. Joie Connolly was fifth with an AARTFC qualifying toss of 36.52 meters. Connolly's mark is fourth on the program's Top 10 list. Aonghas Evanick was eighth in the men's discus with a career-best throw of 43.45 meters. His mark is fourth in the program record books. Alyssa Betz was eighth in the women's event with a career-best toss of 36.90 meters. Her mark is fourth in the record books. Guerieri had a career-best toss of 44.99 meters in the men's hammer throw which is ninth on the Top 10 list. Evanick entered the record books at 10th with a career-best toss of 44.14 meters.
 
New MAC and AARTFC Qualifiers
Stankus and Darrian Berkheimer were MAC qualifiers in the 100 meters. Stankus ran a time of 11.18 seconds while Berkheimer crossed the line in 13.28 seconds. Goundie, Matt Bruchak, Daniel Murtha, Hayden Milchanowski, and Mileyska Calderon were all MAC Championship qualifiers in the 200 meters. Goundie led the men's team with a time of 22.76 seconds. Bruchak ran 23.03 seconds, Murtha had a time of 23.16 seconds, and Milchanowski finished in 23.20 seconds. Calderon ran 26.90 seconds for the women. Elijah McKell, Bruchak, and Alec Di Cesare were conference qualifiers in the 400 meters. McKell ran 50.64 seconds, Bruchak finished in 51.42 seconds, and Di Cesare ran 51.71 seconds. Murtha qualified for the MAC and AARTFC Championships in the 110 hurdles with a time of 15.34 seconds. Joshua Leidich was also a MAC qualifier with a time of 16.37 seconds.
 
Sam Rothstein and Sierra Kapcsos were MAC qualifiers in the 1500 meters. Rothstein had a time of 4:04.98 while Kapcsos crossed the line in 4:56.18. The Dutchmen added eight more MAC qualifiers in the 10,000 meters with five men and three women. In total, all 13 Dutchmen who ran the 10k qualified for the MAC Championships. Dylan Lenhart had a time of 32:46.32, Matthew Santana ran 33:24.92, Liam Allen finished in 33:59.27, Lucas Newell crossed the line in 34:00.37, and Aden Davis ran a time of 34:05.39. Carolina Borleis finished in 41:59.50, Dani Fetterolf had a time of 42:12.46, and Madison Eroh ran 45:10.17. Reed and Emma Bunty qualified in the women's 100-meter hurdles as Reed ran 16.07 seconds and Bunty finished with a time of 17.10 seconds. Bunty also qualified for the MAC Championships in the 400 hurdles with a time of 1:12.77.
 
Graison Michajluk qualified for the MAC Championships in the men's high jump with a height of 1.78 meters. Anna Sawicki and Carolina Wegman were also qualifiers in the women's high jump as both women cleared 1.50 meters. Emma Evan was a qualifier in the women's pole vault with a height of 2.90 meters.
