SELINSGROVE, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley Indoor Track and Field teams broke three more program records on a great Saturday where the teams competed at two different meets. The majority of the squad was at Susquehanna University's SU Invitational while a select group of student-athletes went to the Widener Indoor Classic at UPenn.
 
Track Events
Avrey Grimm ran a MAC Championships qualifying time of 23.97 seconds in the 200 meters at Susquehanna. Donovan Goundie finished fifth in the 400 meters at SU with a career-best time of 51.66 seconds. His time is ninth in the program record books. Luke Macchione qualified for MACs with a time of 53.91 seconds. Mikayla Mitchell ran a MAC qualifying time of 8.47 seconds in the 60 meters at Susquehanna. Elijah McKell was fourth in the 800 meters at The Ott Center in Philadelphia with a season-best time of 1:54.98 to qualify for the AARTFC Championships. Di Cesare ran a MAC qualifying time of 1:59.82 in the event.
 
Autumn Garges ran a career-best, MAC qualifying, and AARTFC qualifying time of 5:11.12 in the mile at The Ott Center. Her time is sixth in the program record books. Sam Rothstein ran a career-best time of 4:21.41 in the men's mile. His time moves him up to sixth from seventh in the record books. Rory Lieberman lowered his school record 3000 meters time by winning the event in Philadelphia with a time of 8:24.98. He beat his time of 8:28.99 that he ran at the Moravian meet earlier this winter. Wyatt Leitzel finished fourth in the 3000 at Susquehanna with a MAC qualifying time of 9:06.95. Coyla Bartholomew qualified for ARRTFCs in the 3000 meters at Widener with a time of 10:31.91. Joe Chukoskie ran a school record 5000 meters time of 14:47.79 at the Widener meet to finish third overall. His time beat the previous record of 14:55.38 run by Noah Griffin in 2023. Matthew Santana won the 5000 meters at SU in a MAC qualifying time of 15:25.92.

Daniel Murtha finished seventh in the 60-meter hurdles at Widener with a career-best time of 8.38 seconds after running 8.45 seconds in the preliminaries. His time moves him up to fourth in the program record books. Joshua Leidich also ran a career-best time of 8.82 seconds to finish seventh at Susquehanna after running 9.00 seconds in prelims. His time moves him up to seventh in the record book. Mitchell was sixth in the women's 60 hurdles at SU with a time of 9.58 seconds in the final after running 9.94 seconds in prelims. The men's 4x400 relay team of Di Cesare, Rothstein, Murtha, and McKell had a time of 3:28.29 at Widener which is eighth on the program's Top 10 list.
 
Field Events
Ayden Stankus improved his school record in the pole vault with a height of 4.85 meters (15'11") to finish third at Widener. He improved on his height of 4.69 meters (15'4.5") that he cleared last week at Franklin & Marshall. Melena Koutch won the high jump for the second consecutive meet at Susquehanna with a height of 1.53 meters (5'0.25"). Alex Brown qualified for the MAC Championships in the long jump and triple jump at Susquehanna. He had a jump of 6.11 meters (20'0.5") on his second attempt to finish seventh in the long jump and recorded a mark of 11.58 meters (38'0") on his first triple jump attempt.

Aonghas Evanick finished third in the shot put at Susquehanna with a throw of 13.63 meters (44'8.75") on his third toss. He also finished fifth in the weight throw with a mark of 14.73 meters (48'4") on his fifth attempt. Lauren Assante was fifth in the women's weight throw at SU with a mark of 14.04 meters (46'0.75") on her third throw.
 
Up Next
LVC will close out the regular season next Friday with a trip back to Susquehanna for the SU Tune Up that begins at 3 p.m. in Selinsgrove.
