LOGAN TOWNSHIP, N.J. – The Lebanon Valley women's cross country team put together another solid performance as the Dutchmen finished fifth out of 31 teams at Rowan's Inter-Regional Border Battle on Saturday afternoon in Logan Township, New Jersey.

"We had illness going around the last week or two, and this was still a tremendously solid result for us," Head Coach James O'Brien had to say. "Coyla was definitely impacted the most on the day. We've got two weeks to get everyone healthy, get just a little bit more work in, and see if we can take a run at the top of the conference at the MAC Championships. I am very proud of how this group shows up to compete, whether we are feeling perfect or not on the day."

The Dutchmen scored 251 points to finish just two points shy of Rhodes College in fourth. The Mid-Atlantic Region's top two teams in Carnegie Mellon and Johns Hopkins finished as the top two teams. CMU won with a score of 32 points while the Blue Jays were second with 127. Host Rowan was third with a score of 231.

LVC had their top five all finish in the top 100.
Kyrianna Nemitz was LVC's top finisher with a 6,000-meter time of 22:16.5. She crossed the line in 24th out of 296 runners.
Autumn Garges was the next Dutchman to finish with a time of 22:45.8 in 47th place.
Lila Shore ran a season-best time of 22:56.4 to finish 56th. Her time is 14th on the program's Top 15 List.
Abigail Hunt ran 23:00.6 to finish 63rd while

Charlee Kurtz was 100th with a time of 23:48.4, and

The Dutchmen will host the Last Chance Run Fast Invitational next Friday, Oct. 24, at the Union Canal Tunnel Park in Lebanon. The women's race is set for an 11 a.m. start, with the top runners expected to be held out to get ready for the MAC Championships in two weeks.
