ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley athletic department announced the team Most Valuable Players from the 2023-24 athletic season.
Each MVP was chosen by the coaching staff of the respective team.
Baseball – Shane Stossel, senior
Stossel earned ABCA and D3baseball.com All-Region honors after batting .400 with a school record slugging percentage of .760 on five doubles, two triples, and nine home runs. The designated hitter broke the school record for career home runs and career runs batted in.
Men's Basketball – Ryan Harder, junior
Harder earned All-MAC Freedom Second Team honors after he led the Dutchmen with 361 points, 141 rebounds, 28 assists, 30 steals, and 13 blocks. The guard averaged 14.4 points and 5.6 rebounds a game while scoring in double digits in 21 of 25 games.
Women's Basketball – Kate Fitzpatrick, senior
Fitzpatrick earned D3hoops.com All-Region honors after leading the Dutchmen with 17.8 points per game in 26 games. The guard shot 39.4 percent from the field, 33.0 percent from beyond the arc, and 85.4 percent at the line and scored her 1,000th career point.
Men's Cross Country – Matthew Santana, first-year
Santana earned MAC Rookie of the Year honors after a fourth-place finish at the MAC Championships. The first-year runner was LVC's top finisher all year and began his collegiate career by winning the Misericordia Invitational in a 4,000-meter time of 12:46.7.
Women's Cross Country – Lauren Bunke, graduate student
Bunke finished sixth at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships to earn All-Region honors and qualify for the National Championships. The graduate student started the year by winning the Misericordia Invitational and Dutchmen Invitational.
Coyla Bartholomew, sophomore
Bartholomew earned All-Region honors with a 21st place finish at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships. The sophomore was LVC's top finisher at the MAC Championships with a fifth-place finish.
Field Hockey – Claire Weidenhammer (Offensive), first-year
Weidenhammer made an immediate impact for the Dutchmen on the offensive end with 15 points on six goals and three assists during her rookie season. The midfielder started every game and scored two game-winning goals and recorded points in eight games.
Emily Kline (Defensive), senior
Kline earned First Team All-MAC Freedom honors as she anchored a defense that allowed just 7.9 shots per game. The defender was impressive on the offensive side of the ball as well with 11 points on three goals and five assists.
Football – Braden Bohannon (Offensive), junior
Bohannon was a dual threat and led the Dutchmen with 14 rushing touchdowns and seven passing touchdowns. The quarterback was named to the All-MAC Team after leading the conference in scoring with 86 points.
Ryan Enright (Defensive), senior
Enright was voted to the All-MAC Team after a strong year where he had 61 tackles including 4.5 for a loss, two forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery. The defensive back scored a defensive touchdown on Homecoming with an 11-yard fumble recovery.
Jeremy Bours Jr. (Special Teams), senior
Bours Jr. was voted as the top punter in the MAC this fall as he averaged 36.66 yards on 44 punts with four punts over 50 yards. He was also the primary holder on field goals and extra points and blocked two kicks on the defensive end.
Men's Golf – Brandon Staniszewski, junior
Staniszewski earned his second career All-Conference honor with a ninth place finish at the MAC Freedom Championships. The junior led LVC with an 80.93 scoring average this season and had four top 10 finishes at 13 events.
Women's Golf – Jillian Fidler, first-year
Fidler had a great first spring for the Dutchmen with a team-low average of 84.71 in seven rounds. The first-year was one stroke off the program record twice with a pair of 81s and was LVC's top golfer at the MAC Championships with an 87 to finish tied for 13th.
Men's Ice Hockey – Blake Tosto, senior
Tosto earned All-MAC First Team honors after leading the Dutchmen with 26 points on 13 goals and 13 assists. The center had a .600 faceoff winning percentage while scoring five power play goals and ranked in the top 10 of the MAC in multiple categories.
Women's Ice Hockey – Erin Yorke, junior
Yorke earned All-MAC honors after she led the Dutchmen with 13 points on three goals and 10 assists as a defender. The junior blocked 20 shots and had a career-high three points on one goal and two assists in a big 4-1 victory over Neumann.
Men's Lacrosse – Alex Kiviniemi, graduate student
Kiviniemi capped his amazing career with First Team All-MAC Freedom honors after recording 56 points on 35 goals and 21 assists while adding 41 ground balls. The midfielder recorded at least one point in every game and had five hat tricks.
Jake Bollinger, senior
Bollinger also earned First Team honors after leading the Dutchmen with 42 goals. The attacker added 14 assists for 56 points while becoming just the second to record 200 career points in program history.
Women's Lacrosse – Emily Beard, senior
Beard earned All-MAC Freedom First Team honors after leading the conference in scoring with 91 points on 69 goals and 22 assists. The attacker had four game-winning goals while recording 12 hat tricks and she scored at least five goals eight times.
Men's Soccer – Nathan Prex, sophomore
Prex became the first All-American in program history with a record-breaking season. The forward scored 20 goals and had five assists in 19 games. He finished in the top 10 of the nation in goals per game, points per game, shots per game, total goals, and total points.
Women's Soccer – Jocelyn Umana, senior
Umana earned All-Region honors after a spectacular season in goal. The keeper posted five shutouts and had 92 saves while recording a 1.73 goals against average. She finished her career with the third-most saves in program history.
Softball – Megan Heard, sophomore
Heard led the Dutchmen to the MAC Freedom title with a walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh inning of the Championship game to earn Tournament MVP honors. The shortstop hit .390 on the season and scored both game-winning runs in the NCAA Regional.
Men's Swimming – Dain Vallie, graduate student
Vallie capped his career with a strong final season in the pool. He finished 19th in the 200 yard freestyle and 20th in the 100 yard freestyle at the MAC Championships. The graduate student also finished 28th in the 500 yard freestyle and swam on all four relays.
Women's Swimming – Jordyn Grossman, junior
Grossman became LVC's first medal-winner at the MAC Championships since 2016 with a second place finish in the 50 yard freestyle. The junior also finished 11th in the 100 yard freestyle, 15th in the 100 yard backstroke, and swam on four relays.
Men's Tennis – Adam Warren, junior
Warren earned First Team All-MAC Freedom honors while leading the Dutchmen to the conference championship match. The junior was 11-8 in singles play including a 5-1 mark in conference matches and went 13-9 in doubles including a 5-1 record in conference.
Women's Tennis – Jacquelyn McBride, senior
McBride had a combined 30-7 record this year to earn First Team All-MAC Freedom honors. The senior went 15-4 in singles including a 4-1 record in conference play and went an impressive 15-3 in doubles including a perfect 6-0 in conference matches.
Men's Track and Field – Zach Reed, graduate student
Reed won all three hurdle events at the indoor and outdoor MAC Championships this year and was named the Outdoor Track Athlete of the Year. The graduate student earned All-Region honors during the indoor and outdoor season in all three hurdle events.
Ian Paul, junior
Paul finished 13th in the nation in the javelin at the Outdoor Track and Field National Championships. The junior won the MAC title in the event and won the javelin at four different meets this spring.
Women's Track and Field – Coyla Bartholomew, sophomore
Bartholomew broke the 3,000 steeplechase record and won four medals at the MAC Championships. The sophomore won the indoor 3000 meters and finished fourth in the 5000 meters before she finished third in the outdoor 5000 meters with second place finishes in the 3000 steeplechase and 4x800 meters.
Volleyball – Taylor McInerney, senior
McInerney had one of the best seasons in program history as she earned nearly every award there was to win. The outside hitter was the NCAA Statistical Champion in kills per set and points per set while earning AVCA All-America Honorable Mention honors.
