ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley Football team had three student-athletes named to the D3football.com All-Region 1 Team on Wednesday with the release of the postseason awards by the organization. Evan Kutzler was a second team selection while Jacob Phillips and Tim Kissinger were named to the third team.

The teams, selected in balloting by Region 1 sports information directors and D3football.com staff, were chosen from 232 nominations by full Division III member schools. A total of 76 players were chosen. Players nominated for All-Region are eligible to be considered for D3football.com All-America honors, which will be announced Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025.

Kutzler earns his second consecutive selection to the All-Region squad at safety after being a third team honoree last year. The senior led the Middle Atlantic Conference and finished eighth in the nation with 0.6 interceptions per game. He picked off six passes for 65 yards and had one touchdown return. The free safety had 26 total tackles including one tackle for a loss and four breakups. The senior had a season-high five tackles at King's and against Widener. He picked off two passes at Eastern and returned an interception 35 yards for the first touchdown of the game in a 27-0 victory over Albright. He anchored a defensive secondary that was 21st in passing yards allowed at 157.6 per game.

Phillips earned his first career All-Region honor at tackle after he helped power the Dutchmen to second in the MAC in rushing and allowed LVC to dominate time of possession in most games while averaging 4.3 yards per carry. LVC outgained MAC Champion King's 461-409 in total offense and had a 35:21-24:39 advantage in time of possession while also holding a 30-16 advantage in first downs including 15 rushing first downs. Phillips also helped in aiding LVC to dominate Delaware Valley in total offense 372-264 with advantages in first downs (21-16, including 11 rushing first downs) and time of possession (36:13-23:47). LVC had 230 rushing yards against the Aggies on 47 attempts.

Kissinger was selected at kicker after leading the MAC and finishing seventh in the nation with 1.30 field goals per game. The senior was 13-20 on field goals with a school record long of 56 yards. Kissinger had two of the top 10 longest field goals in Division III this season with his 56-yarder at Franklin & Marshall being the longest and his 51-yarder at FDU-Florham being tied for eighth. Kissinger made 24 extra points to finish the year with 63 points scored. He also handled kickoff duties for most of the season averaging 56.0 yards on 27 kicks for 1512 total yards with six touchbacks. Five of his touchbacks came in a 37-7 victory over Stevenson as he totaled 507 yards on eight kicks. He was also a perfect 3-3 on field goals and 4-4 on extra points against the Mustangs.

The Dutchmen have earned at least one All-Region honor in each of the past three seasons. The three selections this year ties the most the Dutchmen have earned in a single season and LVC has 19 total D3football.com All-Region honorees in program history.
