MEDIA, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley Tennis teams concluded the fall season with a strong day in a co-ed exhibition tournament with Catholic University and Wilkes University on Sunday at the Unlimited Tennis Academy in Media.
In the first match of the day, the LVC "A" team defeated Wilkes 45-28. The "B" team dropped a close 35-32 decision to Wilkes in the second match of the day. Wilkes won both of their matches against Catholic by scores of 36-35 and 41-37. The Dutchmen "A" squad dropped a 44-26 decision to Catholic while the "B" team fell 31-25.
Inside the Results
- The Dutchmen started the day with a strong start in singles against Wilkes as first-year Zach Schrader tied 7-7 with Nate Rathe and first-year Erika Badner won 8-3.
- In mixed doubles, Adam Warren and Sarah McComas defeated Wilkes 8-2 while Zach Schrader and Nikki Denbowski earned an 8-6 victory,
- Badner and McComas had an 8-2 win in women's doubles against the Colonels.
- Ethan Luu and Katie Berra had an 8-1 victory in the "B" mixed doubles match against Wilkes. They also won 6-2 in the match against Catholic.
- Luu and Vincent Thompson defeated Wilkes 8-3 in the men's doubles match.
- Warren won his men's singles match against Catholic's Lorenzo Neri 8-4.
- Berra won her women's singles match against the Cardinals 7-3.
- Vincent Thompson and Jared Hostetter tied Catholic in the men's doubles "B" match 6-6
