CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley Women's Cross Country team placed three in the top five to take home the team title at the DeSales Invitational on Saturday morning on the campus of DeSales University in Center Valley.
"It was a phenomenal day for our ladies," Head Coach James O'Brien stated. "We're coming off a big session this past Tuesday so I'm quite pleased how we were able to navigate a tough course and come away with the win. This is an awesome cap to three consecutive weeks of racing and sets us up nicely for the MAC Championships."
Coyla Bartholomew finished second overall in the field of 147 runners with a 6,000-meter time of 22:36.6.
Autumn Garges was not far behind her in third place with a time of 23:05.4.
Abigail Hunt finished fifth with a time of 23:45.1.
Kaylee Senglar was the next Dutchman to cross the line with a time of 24:45.5 to finish 17th.
Charlee Kurtz was right behind her in 24:53.0.
Aleah Hoffman was 26th with a time of 25:57.4 and
Sierra Kapcsos rounded out the top seven runners with a time of 26:11.3 to finish 28th.
The Dutchmen had a score of 45 to win by nine points over Haverford College with a score of 54. Messiah University was third with 62 points and host DeSales was fourth with 130 points.

The Dutchmen will host the Last Chance Run Fast Invitational in two weeks on October 25 at Union Canal Tunnel Park in the last race before the MAC Championships. The women's race is scheduled for a 3 p.m. start in Lebanon.
