11/2/2024 1:18:00 PM

GRANTHAM, Pa.–Coyla Bartholomew and Autumn Garges placed in the top ten finishers to lead the Lebanon Valley College Women's Cross Country team to a third-place performance at the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Championships on Saturday, Nov. 2, at Messiah University.

Bartholomew finished seventh in 23:05.4, followed by Garges in eighth just seconds later at 23:16.2. The pair earned All-MAC First Team accolades—the second time for Bartholomew and first for Garges, who was a Second-Team finisher last year.

Three Dutchmen runners raced to their first career All-MAC honors. Abigail Hunt placed17th at 24:17.4 for All-MAC Second Team status, improving over last year's mark by 18 spots. Charlee Kurtz crossed the line in 24:47.3 in 28th place, making a nice jump from her finish at MACs last year. First-year runner Kaylee Senglar raced to 30th in 24:53.9, continuing her strong rookie season. Kurtz and Senglar placed on the All-MAC Third Team.

Sierra Kapcsos and Christine Wagner finished inside the top 50, at 41st and 48th, followed by Aleah Hoffman in 51st and Caroline Borelis in 54th. Dani Fetterolf turned in her season-best time, beating her performance last weekend, and placed 59th. First-year runners Nina Milosevic (70) and Madison Eroh (98) rounded out the Dutchmen competitors.

"In the face of some really tough competition, our women came out and performed as well as we could have expected! They remained patient and determined as they cautiously followed our team race plan on a rather challenging and hilly course, and for that we are extremely proud of them and their outcome today. Additionally, we had 5 all-conference performers, making the day that much more remarkable for our women's team," said Dana Fronk, LVC Women's Cross Country Assistant Coach.

Misericordia University won the team championship with 50 points, followed by Widener with 73 points.
