FREDERICK, Md. – Sierra Young won two individual events and one relay to lead the Lebanon Valley women's swimming team on Saturday afternoon in a dual meet with Hood College. The host Blazers won the closely contested battle 114-104.
Meet Highlights
- Jordyn Grossman started things off strong in individual events for the Dutchmen as she touched first in the 200-yard freestyle with a personal best and MAC qualifying time of 2:11.12. The junior then finished second in the 100-yard freestyle with a season best time of 57.71 seconds.
- Natalie Bourne had a personal best time of 1:14.31 in the 100-yard backstroke.
- The Dutchmen went 1-2 in the 100-yard breaststroke as Rachel King won in a season best 1:18.06 and Noryan Mitchell touched the wall right behind her in a personal best and MAC qualifying time of 1:19.76.
- Young won her first event of the day in the 50-yard freestyle as she edged Hood's top swimmer with a time of 26.45 seconds. She then won the 100-yard butterfly with a season best time of 1:05.28.
- King won her second event of the day as LVC took the top three in the 200-yard breaststroke. King touched first in a personal best and MAC qualifying time of 2:48.85. Mitchell was second in 2:58.94 and then Karly Kile was third in 2:59.00.
- Kile swam a personal best 500-yard freestyle time of 6:40.77 to finish third.
- The Dutchmen team of Hollyn Helsel, Young, Bourne, and Grossman closed the meet with a first-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle relay in 1:52.81.
