YORK, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley swimming team had a light day of action on Saturday at the Middle Atlantic Conference Championships, which was highlighted by
Noryan Mitchell finishing 23rd in the 100-yard breaststroke at the Graham Aquatic Center in York.
Mitchell qualified for the "C" Final with a career-best time of 1:15.44 in the morning preliminaries. The senior came back in the final and swam 1:16.14 to finish seventh in the heat and 23rd overall.
Marina Weidman finished 26th with a season-best time of 1:16.80 in prelims, while
Nora Cuthie was right behind her in a career-best 1:16.96.
Owen Fastrich just missed qualifying for the finals in the 100 breaststroke as he swam a career-best time of 1:07.06 to finish 25th.
Roman Schelhorn swam a career-best time of 1:12.50 to finish 28th.
The women's 800-yard freestyle relay team of
Colbey Brown,
Grace Strong,
Lily McNutt, and
Maya Sussman finished 17th in a time of 9:49.40.
The Dutchmen will close out the Championships on Sunday with the 100 freestyle, 200 backstroke, 200 breaststroke, and 1650 freestyle, along with the 400 freestyle relay. Prelims will start at 9:30 a.m. in York, while the final session will begin at 5 p.m.
