ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley College women's tennis team will face off against Hartwick College in the first round of the NCAA Tournament at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 5. The event is being hosted at the Proctor Tennis Courts on the campus of Middlebury College in Middlebury, Vermont. This marks the fourth time in program history that Lebanon Valley has appeared in the tournament, with its last bid coming just last season.

The Dutchmen are coming off a 5-2 victory in the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Commonwealth Championship match against York College of Pennsylvania on April 29. The team posted a dominant regular season in 2022-23, recording a conference best 16-3 overall record. LVC was also perfect in its conference matches, going 7-0 against MAC Commonwealth opponents.

The Flying Dutchmen have been led this season by Nicole Honrade, who was named the Most Valuable Player at the conference championship. Honrade went 15-3 in her singles matches and notched a 14-2 record in doubles matches with Sarah Kramer. Meredith Haas has also been a key contributor, recording a 13-5 record in singles competition this season.

The Hawks also just concluded a successful campaign, winning the Empire 8 Conference with a 16–2 overall record and a 7–0 conference mark. The first-round matchup will be the first meeting between Lebanon Valley and Hartwick in the history of the programs. The winner of Friday's contest will then take on Middlebury in the second round on Saturday.
