ANNVILLE, Pa. - Nick Benhoff has joined the Lebanon Valley College Athletics Department as the head strength and conditioning coach for the College's 26 varsity teams, as announced by Rick Beard '90, M'92, director of athletics.
"I am thrilled Nick has joined the LVC Athletics Department as our head strength and conditioning coach," said Beard. "He places a high value on the health and safety of our student-athletes while implementing strategies to help them to perform at a high level. In addition, his passion and excitement for coaching are evident."
Benhoff will develop and oversee training programs for LVC's 647 student-athletes in the recently renovated Sports Performance Center.
"I'm extremely excited and grateful to be a part of such a great team at Lebanon Valley College," said Benhoff. "The student-athletes and athletic administration have been so welcoming and made my transition very smooth. I look forward to working with the student-athletes every day. Being in a position where I get to watch them grow as individuals and see them compete in their sport is very rewarding."
Benhoff arrives at The Valley after spending six months working as a strength and conditioning coach with Division III student-athletes.
Before that, he served as director and manager of S3 Performance Training based out of York, Pa. In that role, he developed strength and conditioning programs for young athletes, adults, and teams. Benhoff guided clients through safe exercise with a focus on their specific sport and ability.
He guest lectures at York College of Pennsylvania on gender and its effects on sports participation and female involvement in sport and training. He also produces health and fitness content for multiple websites and a personal trainer education YouTube channel.
Benhoff received a bachelor's degree in economics and business from Randolph Macon College and his master's in exercise science from the California University of Pennsylvania. He has a strength and conditioning specialist certification from the National Strength and Conditioning Association and is a certified nutrition coach and level II master health coach.
