ANNVILLE, Pa. – Lebanon Valley women's ice hockey forward Katrina Strauts was honored by the United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) on Monday afternoon as the Rookie of the Week.
 
Strauts had a pair of two-point games to lead the Dutchmen to a weekend sweep of Wilkes. The first-year had four points on two goals and two assists breaking the LVC record for points, goals, and assists in a single season. The forward began the weekend with a goal and an assist in a 4-1 Senior Night victory over the Colonels. She assisted on the game-winning goal and then scored an insurance goal in the second period to give the Dutchmen a 3-1 lead. She had a goal and an assist in a 3-2 victory spoiling Wilkes' Senior Day on Saturday. Strauts scored the first goal of the game and then assisted on the game-winner once again which was scored with 1:23 left in the third.
 
This is the second consecutive Monday that Strauts has earned UCHC Rookie of the Week honors and the third time this year.
 
The Dutchmen will be in action on Wednesday afternoon in the UCHC quarterfinals as they face second-seeded and 12th-ranked Utica University at the Nexus Center in Utica at 3 p.m.
