ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley volleyball will play for a Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom Championship this week and are two wins away from earning the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. The second-seeded Dutchmen will host third-seeded Arcadia University in the semifinals on Wednesday evening at Sorrentino Gymnasium.
LVC is 16-11 overall and had an excellent conference season going 6-1 to earn the second seed after being picked not to even make the postseason in the preseason coaches' poll. Arcadia, last year's runners-up, went 4-3 in conference play and earned the third-seed by winning a three-way tiebreaker with fourth-seeded Misericordia University and DeSales University. The Dutchmen defeated the Knights 3-1 back on September 20 in Annville. The other semifinal matchup tomorrow with have Misericordia traveling to face top-seeded and defending champion Stevens Institute of Technology. LVC defeated the Cougars 3-1 last week and played Stevens to a close 3-1 defeat on October 10. Both matches were in Sorrentino Gymnasium. The winners of the semifinals will play for the Championship on Saturday at the site of the higher seed.

The Dutchmen have been led this year by
Taylor McInerney. The outside hitter leads Division III with 549 kills, 5.97 kills per set, and 6.36 points per set. She is fourth in the nation with 585 total points. McInerney has a .308 hitting percentage and adds 134 digs, 35 blocks, and 14 aces to the stat sheet.
Robyn Stepler has the benefactor of most of McInerney's kills as she ranks second in the conference with 802 assists and 8.10 assists per set. The junior setter has recorded 135 points with 55 kills, 53 service aces, and 42 blocks. Senior libero
Kasey Thomas leads the team with 393 digs. She is fourth in the conference with 4.05 digs per set. The senior has added 68 assists and 31 aces.
Mattea Penner is second on the team with 199.5 points on 184 kills, 17 blocks, and five service aces. She has recorded 2.14 kills per set and made 60 digs.
Teaguen Reynolds has been a force defensively with 56 blocks. The first-year has also recorded 87 kills, 21 aces, and 39 digs for 141 points.
Kelli Heffer is the fifth Dutchman with over 100 points this year with 108.5. She has 102 kills, 31 digs, and 12 blocks.
Libby Lindau has contributed 87 points to the team with 62 kills, 11 aces, 40 digs, and 26 blocks.
Margaret Cole has 85.5 points on 69 kills, 22 digs, and 2 blocks.
Sofia Okronley is second on the team with 182 assists with 3.43 assists per set. She also has six aces and 82 digs.
Lyla Arfanella has recorded 41 kills, 27 service aces, and 105 digs while
Olivia Nace adds 34 kills, 29 blocks, and 21 digs.
Abigail Souder has 138 digs, 28 aces, and 19 assists while
Annelese Atkinson has recorded three kills, and three blocks in 10 sets.
