LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Lebanon Valley women's volleyball team was announced as a recipient of the 2026 AVCA Team Academic Award by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) this week in a release by the organization. This is the seventh consecutive year the Dutchmen have earned the award.
 
The team academic award, initiated in the 1992-93 academic year, honors volleyball teams that maintain a year-long grade-point average of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale or 4.1 on a 5.0 scale. There were 1,432 collegiate and high school volleyball teams that earned the award this year.
 
LVC has now earned the honor 12 times in the past 13 years. The team had a strong fall semester as 13 of the 15 Dutchmen on the team were named to the MAC Academic Honor Roll with a semester GPA of 3.2 or higher. During the spring semester, 14 Dutchmen had a GPA over 3.2. All 15 team members have a cumulative GPA over 3.0.
