LEXINGTON, Ky. – Lebanon Valley senior outside hitter
Taylor McInerney was named an Honorable Mention on the 2023 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-America Team announced on Tuesday by the organization.
McInerney becomes LVC's eighth All-American in program history and the first since Jess Attieh in 2017. Heading into this weekend's NCAA Division III Championships, the outside hitter leads the nation in kills per set with 5.91 and in points per set with 6.30. She is second in total kills with 591 and third in points with 630.5.
Her 591 kills are second in program history. She tied the program record with 35 kills in the home opener, a 3-1 win over Dickinson. The captain recorded over 30 kills in a match three times this season and had over 25 kills nine times. She led the Dutchmen to the MAC Freedom Championship match in their first year in the conference after being picked fifth in the preseason poll.
