ANNVILLE, Pa. – Lebanon Valley men's tennis standout Justin Schuetz was named the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Commonwealth Men's Tennis Player of the Week on Tuesday morning in a release by the conference office.
 
Schuetz led the Dutchmen to a 3-0 week with three wins at number one singles. The graduate student began the week with a big 7-5, 3-6, 10-2 victory over 2022 Landmark Player of the Year James Harrington of Scranton in a 7-2 victory over the Royals. He then defeated Garrick Adams of Dickinson 6-3, 6-3 to lead the Dutchmen to a 6-3 victory over the Red Devils in Carlisle on Friday afternoon. On Sunday he took down another All-Landmark singles student-athlete in Joshua Sanderson of Susquehanna 6-1, 6-3 in an 8-1 victory over the River Hawks in Annville. Schuetz also went 1-2 in his three doubles matches during the week.
 
The weekly award is the fifth for Schuetz in his career and first of the season. He becomes the second Dutchman to be honored by the conference office this year. Schuetz is 5-0 in singles to start the year and 3-2 in doubles.
 
The Dutchmen will be off this week before competing at the ITA Northeast Regional Championships next weekend in Madison, N.J. on the campus of Drew University.
