ANNVILLE, Pa. – Lebanon Valley's women's tennis team dropped a 7-2 decision to the defending MAC Commonwealth champions from Messiah at the Shankroff Tennis Center on Saturday afternoon, April 7.
After the Flying Dutchmen (4-6, 0-1 MAC Commonwealth) were swept in doubles action,
Megan Williams and
Meridyth Sanders emerged victorious in singles play. Williams defeated Sarah Summerson 6-2, 6-2 in the No. 5 solo match, while Sanders needed three sets to best Gabby Brooks 6-2, 2-6, 10-1 in the sixth outing.
Sammy Bost gave Carly Dove a run for her money in the No. 3 singles contest before falling by the slimmest of margins at 6-4, 2-6, 10-9 in three sets.
LVC will look to bounce back when the team hosts Hood for another conference matchup at the Shankroff Tennis Center on Wednesday afternoon, April 11.
