HILTON HEAD, S.C. – Lebanon Valley's women's tennis team finished up its annual spring break trip in Hilton Head, S.C. against Catholic on Thursday afternoon, March 8. LVC was bested by the Cardinals 7-2.
 
The Flying Dutchmen (3-4) picked up a victory in doubles action when Sammy Bost and Megan Williams combined to defeat Catholic's Sarah MacLean and Colleen McLaughlin 8-5 in the No. 2 matchup.
 
Williams added her second win of the afternoon in singles competition when she overcame an early deficit to earn a hard-fought 1-6, 6-2, 12-10 decision in the battle of each team's No. 3 solo players. Melanie Haas and Meridyth Sanders also fought hard in their singles outings before falling to their counterparts in three sets.
 
The Dutchmen return north and will be back in action next week when they travel to take on Ursinus on Saturday afternoon, March 17.
