HILTON HEAD, S.C. – Lebanon Valley's women's tennis team got back to action on the second day of the team's annual spring break trip to Hilton Head, S.C. on Monday afternoon, March 5. LVC dropped a 9-0 decision to Lawrence Tech in the squad's most recent outing.
The Flying Dutchmen (3-3) dropped all three doubles matches, with the team of
Marla Scacchitti and
Melanie Haas, as well as the duo of
Elise Hanks-Witaszek and
Emily Wilczek earning one point each in their contests.
Sammy Bost turned in the strongest outing among LVC players in singles action before falling 6-1, 6-2 to Carolyn McCullen in the No. 3 solo matchup.
Meridyth Sanders was the other Dutchman who earned points in each of her two sets before dropping a 6-1, 6-1 decision to Maria Alvarez in the sixth contest.
Lebanon Valley has one match remaining on this year's spring break excursion. The Dutchmen take on Catholic on Thursday, March 8. Start time is set for 2 p.m.
