FULL RESULTS
WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – Lebanon Valley's women's tennis team wrapped up the fall portion of its 2018-19 schedule by competing at the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Individual Championship Tournament on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Normally a two-day event, the championships were played inside and outside over the span of three days due to rain and cold weather.
In No. 3 singles action,
Meridyth Sanders advanced to the quarterfinals after downing Jennifer Slick 6-4, 6-1, but fell to FDU-Florham's Allyson Wolf 6-2, 6-1.
Emily Wilczek also made it to the quarters, but fell to No. 1 seeded Erin Volutza of Wilkes. Then, in No. 5 singles,
Elizabeth Drda got through to the semi's after defeating DelVal's Miller Huertgen 6-0, 6-1 in the quarters.
Leah Wingert advanced to the semifinal's in No. 6 singles, but dropped a 2-6, 6-3, 10-5 match to Alvernia's Rachel Rineer. Finally, in No. 7 singles,
Kaitlyn Welch advanced to the semi's after a 6-1, 7-6 (5) win over FDU-Florham's Erin Weller in the quarters.
In No. 3 doubles action, Wingert and Drda cruised into the quarters after an 8-0 win over Manhattanville.
With MAC's wrapped up, the Dutchmen are now idle until its annual spring break trip to Hilton Head, S.C. in March of 2019.
