DOUBLES RESULTS

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – Lebanon Valley's men's tennis team took part in the 2018 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Individual Championship Tournament on Saturday and Sunday. Due to rainy weather, the Championships were forced to be played partly at Ralston Field Complex and Kingston Indoor Tennis Club.

At No. 1 doubles, Reed Morris and Justin Schuetz advanced to the semifinal round after defeating Eastern's Hamilton and Finkbeiner 8-3 in the quarters. Th duo fell, however, to the eventual champs Murphy and White from Wilkes by an 8-3 score. Blake Martin and Elliott Kleckner also advanced to the semis in No. 2 doubles action, but were taken down by Stevenson's Vaughan and Sturniolo 8-4.

At No. 3 doubles, Ben Hinkley and Luke Senft became the third pair to reach the semifinal round and the duo took it one further and downed DeSales' Kanan and Beck 8-5 to reach the finals. Wilkes' Maderitz and Ellis narrowly defeated Hinkley and Senft by an 8-5 margin in the final.

Schuetz reached the semis at No. 2 singles, but fell to Stevenson's Andre Sturniolo 6-4, 6-2. In No. 3 singles, Reed Morris also reached the last four, but was dropped in a hard-fought 6-0, 6-1 match. Finally, at No. 6 singles, Ben Hinkley made it to the semis, but was narrowly edged by Wilkes' Jack Maline 6-1, 6-2.

With MAC's wrapped up, LVC is now idle until its annual spring break trip to Hilton Head, S.C. in March of 2019.
