BALTIMORE – Lebanon Valley's women's tennis team finished up a successful weekend of tournament play at Goucher on Sunday afternoon, Oct. 1.
Top singles player
Melanie Haas impressed in taking third place among the 10 No. 1 solo competitors, while
Emily Wilczek won a pair of matches in the No. 2 singles bracket.
Zoe Birch was victorious in two outings in the No. 3 singles bracket and
Kaitlyn Welch was the winner of a pair of matchups in the No. 4 solo bracket.
A number of Flying Dutchmen were also in action in doubles play. The squad's pairing of
Meridyth Sanders and
Rachel Duong advanced to the third-place match of the first doubles draw, while the duo of
Leah Wingert and
Elizabeth Drda won two matches in the No. 2 doubles bracket.
With the Goucher Tournament now behind it, LVC will return to team play when the Dutchmen travel to Penn State Harrisburg on Tuesday afternoon.
