WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – Lebanon Valley picked up its second-straight 6-3 win by emerging victorious at King's (Pa.) on Sunday afternoon.
The Flying Dutchmen (7-4) held the edge after doubles play thanks to victories in the first and third outings.
Marla Scacchitti and
Melanie Haas took care of the Monarchs' Natalie Coffee and Emily Kabalka 8-3 in the top match, while
Alyssa Potosnak and
Megan Williams bested Eunseo Kim and Thea Seasock 8-2 to give the visitors a 2-1 advantage.
Haas came out on top of Coffee with a pair of 6-4 decisions in the second singles showdown and Potosnak handled Kabalka 6-3, 6-3 in the No. 3 contest.
Elizabeth Drda swept Martina Gale 6-0, 6-0 in the fourth outing and
Rachel Duong sealed the final solo victory by a 6-1, 6-0 margin over Cailyn Hillier.
The Dutchmen return to MAC Commonwealth action when they host Arcadia at the Shankroff Tennis Center on Wednesday afternoon.
