HILTON HEAD, S.C. – Lebanon Valley's women's tennis team was in action against Baldwin Wallace on the second day of the squad's spring break slate in Hilton Head, S.C. on Tuesday afternoon.
The Flying Dutchmen (3-2) fell to the Yellow Jackets (3-4) by an 8-1 margin in a match that featured
Megan Williams as LVC's lone victor on the day. After falling behind BW's Kathleen Moser in the first set of their fifth singles matchup, Williams won the final two sets to take the win 3-6, 6-1, 10-8.
Marla Scacchitti turned in a strong second-set effort in the top singles contest. After being swept in the first set, she made Imani Robinson work to earn a 6-0, 7-5 victory.
Elise Hanks-Witaszek wasn't an easy out either and played BW's Kayla Eeg tough in the sixth singles matchup before falling 6-4, 6-4.
The Dutchmen are idle tomorrow but will look to rebound when they face Eastern Nazarene in their next contest on Thursday afternoon at 3:15 p.m.
