Final Results

WILKES-BARRE, Pa.
– Lebanon Valley was in action on the final day of the 2017 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Men's Tennis Individual Championship Tournament held in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. on Sunday afternoon, Oct. 22.

Four Flying Dutchmen reached the championship match of their respective singles and doubles flights and finished as conference runners-up. For LVC, it was the team's final competition of the 2017-18 fall season.

In singles action, Elliott Kleckner defeated King's Austin Mackey 6-4, 6-2 in the semifinal round before falling to Chris Maderitz, the eventual champion from Wilkes, 6-1, 6-0 in the No. 5 bracket.

Ben Hinkley also reached the finals thanks to a 6-3, 6-2 victory over FDU-Florham's Tyler Schacher in semifinal action of the No. 7 solo bracket but he too fell just short of a conference title. Wilkes' Ryan Simon won the championship by a 6-1, 6-0 decision.

In doubles competition, Jordan Heavel and Luke Senft advanced to the championship match of the No. 3 bracket with an 8-6 win over the duo from FDU-Florham. The pairing was eventually edged by the champions from Wilkes by a slim 8-6 margin in the title contest.

With their fall slate now complete, the Dutchmen will be idle until the spring semester. LVC returns to action during its annual trip to Hilton Head, S.C. in early March.
