WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – A number of Flying Dutchmen remain alive in the 2017 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Men's Tennis Individual Championship Tournament thanks to the performances of Lebanon Valley players on Saturday, Oct. 21.
Jordan Heavel and
Luke Senft proved the big winners on the day, as the pair defeated their counterparts from Alvernia 8-2 to advance to the semifinal round of the No. 3 doubles bracket. Senft will also be competing in the semifinals as a singles player thanks to two wins in the No. 4 singles flight.
Elliott Kleckner and
Ben Hinkley also advanced to the semifinal round as solo players, with Kleckner earning 6-0, 6-0 and 6-2, 6-2 victories in the fifth bracket, and Hinkley using a 6-0, 6-0 sweep over his opponent from Alvernia to move on in the No. 7 flight.
The semifinals and finals of the MAC Championship Tournament will take place on Sunday afternoon, Oct. 22.
