SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Lebanon Valley finished off the September portion of its fall schedule with an impressive 8-1 victory at Susquehanna on Sunday afternoon, Sept. 25.

The Flying Dutchmen (2-0) won all three doubles matchups, led by the top team of Marla Scacchitti and Rebecca Pierpont. The pair edged the River Hawks' Alyssa Fleischman and Abagail Ransom 9-8 in a competitive showing. Melanie Haas and Allison Weidman bested Megan Rudloff and Eliza Griffin 8-4 in the second doubles outing, while Alyssa Potosnak and Megan Williams made it a clean sweep with an 8-5 victory over Julia Spear and Amy Jennings in the number three outing.

LVC's strong play carried over into singles action, led by Scacchitti's 6-2, 6-1 win over Rudloff in the top matchup. Haas easily won her number three matchup with a 6-1, 6-4 decision over Griffin, while Potosnak shook off a tough second set to earn a 6-4, 4-6, 10-7 victory over Spear in the number four pairing. Elizabeth Drda made quick work of Cassey Fox with a 6-0, 6-2 number five solo victory and Williams took care of Jennings 6-4, 6-1 in the six spot.

The Dutchmen are next in action when they take part in Goucher's two-day tournament in Baltimore, Md. on Saturday, Oct. 1 and Sunday, Oct. 2.
